Do You...?
- Ever have spare capacity in your nursery?
- Want to offer flexible and emergency places to local parents?
- Want to earn additional revenue by operating at better occupancy?
Emergency Childcare is your answer
My Family Care's Emergency Childcare service (www.emergencychildcare.co.uk) has been developed as a way to match the demand of parents looking for emergency, flexible or ad hoc childcare to the supply of vacant nursery places. It's a great childcare solution for parents.

Benefits to you
- Working with us is absolutely free
- Increase revenue by occupying otherwise vacant nursery places
- Generous subsidies are offered by many of our clients to their employees.
Only by booking through the website do these parents receive all or part of their care paid for
- You're in control of the prices and available spaces at all times - meaning you have
the freedom to use the system as much or as little as you like
- A good way to introduce local parents to you with a strong possibility of full time recruitment
- Joining us will help you remain competitive

Who uses it?
Parents who use Emergency Childcare fall into 2 categories:
- Those who need an emergency childcare solution because their childcare (nanny, nursery, friend etc) has broken down; or
- Those who don't necessarily have childcare, but require a flexible childcare solution without the commitment

Demand
There is currently a huge demand for emergency and flexible childcare. On average working parents are taking 9 sick days a year due to childcare problems. Lack of flexible childcare for freelances, shift workers etc means there is huge appeal for a service that can link this demand and supply.

How it works for nurseries
Via a simple web based admin site, nurseries have the opportunity to set the prices and availability for each of their rooms. In line with the best advice from Ofsted, once a booking has been made the nursery manager will be informed immediately and sent over all of the required information via the method they choose (email or fax) as well as a text message if requested.
Prices are set by the nursery at whatever level they feel is appropriate. My Family Care takes 20% commission on the booking fee that you set. We pay you on the first of the month after the care has taken place.

The child's care
Obviously this is paramount. To help minimise distress, after parents register we recommend that they visit a number of their local nurseries prior to their first booking so that they (and their child) are familiar with the nursery and have an opportunity to meet the manager to discuss their child's requirements further.
It is important to stress that of all the nursery bookings we have taken so far the system has worked very well.
