Like every parent there has probably been a time when you've needed emergency backup childcare. Your friends and family might be busy, your childminder is ill, your nanny is on holiday - what do you do?
 
My Family Care's Emergency Childcare service offers childcare solutions to working parents who have experienced a breakdown of their regular childcare. You can search and book local nursery and childminder places or an emergency nanny, on a flexible, ad hoc or daily basis. We also work with companies to help provide their employees with the backup childcare they want and need.
 
We are in a unique position to offer this service with over 600 participating nurseries around the country, an exclusive relationship with the NCMA & SCMA and their database of childminders. We source emergency nannies via our collaboration with reputable nanny agencies nationwide, to find the best childcare available.
 
 
Nursery Spaces
Emergency Childcare (www.emergencychildcare.co.uk) allows you to:

• Book a nursery place when you want it, today, tomorrow or in 3 months time
• Choose as many days as you need
• Search and select the local nursery you want

Nurseries and childminders update their own spaces, so you’ll immediately be able to see if places are available. We have over 600 nurseries currently live on the website, however if there is a nursery you would specifically like us to contact with regards to becoming involved with this service please email: newnursery@emergencychildcare.co.uk.
 

Childminders
Through Emergency Childcare you have the opportunity to source a local childminder, check their availability and finally book the days and hours you require the care for. All English and Welsh emergencychildcare.co.uk childminders are Ofsted regulated and verified members of the NCMA/CSSIW. Our Scottish childminders are verified members of the SCMA and are regulated by the Care Commision.
 

Nannies
All emergency nannies are sourced via our collaboration with reputable nanny agencies nationwide. Once you make a booking your local branch will be immediately informed and recruit you an appropriate nanny for your requirements. Only when you are happy with the proposed childcarer shall your transaction be processed.

Nannies booked via Emergency Childcare are paid at an hourly rate (depending on location) and payrolled by the nanny agency. If you would rather pay your nanny directly and be responsible for their tax and NI, please contact your local branch directly.
