How can Emergency Childcare benefit your employees?
Emergency Childcare was launched in early 2006. The aim was to allow working parents to find and book the backup childcare they wanted, and allow companies to subsidise the costs however they saw fit.
Emergency Childcare is the only nationwide, completely flexible employee childcare solution available in the UK.
All our clients have one thing in common: a commitment to helping their staff manage their care responsibilities. We already work with a variety of different clients, including the Met Police, HMRC, several of The Times 100 Best Companies, and many of the leading banks and professional firms.

Why Introduce a Backup Childcare Scheme?
- Help Manage Absenteeism
Childcare problems are a major and little discussed reason for absenteeism. A funded comprehensive backup childcare service addresses this problem head on
- Work Life Balance
Providing help with your employees' childcare issues directly helps parents achieve the work life balance they strive for
- Cost Effective
We charge a small set up and management fee and then you only pay when the service is used - and then only the amount you have agreed to contribute. It's a better solution, by far, than buying permanent nursery spaces in the hope that supply will exactly match demand

How We Work Via Emergency Childcare working parents can choose from over 600 Nurseries and 1000 Childminders registered nationally, or can elect to have a qualified experienced Nanny come to their home on as little as 2 hours notice. Bookings are made through the website (www.emergencychildcare.co.uk) or via a dedicated 24/7 booking line. Pre-registration is strongly recommended to parents. Company contributions are calculated automatically and the care is guaranteed.

Who We Work With We work with all the main childcare voucher providers - Accor Services, care-4, Sodexho Pass and Busy Bees. Having a backup childcare scheme in place is an excellent way of getting more employees to sign up for your voucher scheme. When not using any subsidy provided by their employer, parents can use their vouchers to pay for nursery spaces on the website.
We are also willing and able to link your backup childcare service into an employee assistance program or employee benefits scheme, and know and work with lots of the EAP providers.

Costs Depend largely on the size of your organisation and how much of the service you need tailoring to your needs.
