Emergency nanny costs

When you book a last minute nanny you'll be presented with two options:

• Payrolled by Parent - This is the default option and means you'll be responsible for the nanny's tax and NI
• Payrolled by Nanny Agency - You can select for the nanny agency to payroll the nanny. This works out a little more expensive but means you don't have to worry about sorting out their tax and NI.

How you pay and other charges

Payrolled by Parent: If you choose to payroll the temporary nanny yourself, you'll be charged a nanny agency fee (£4) for each hour you book. This fee goes directly to the agency we use and is charged to your credit card once your booking is complete. You'll be advised when you book how much you'll need to pay your nanny directly at the end of each day.

Payrolled by Nanny Agency: If you elect for the nanny agency to take care of payrolling the nanny, your full booking amount is charged to your credit card once your booking is complete and the hours confirmed by the agency. This includes our 5% booking fee.

Petrol costs: If you require the nanny to drive their own car, to pick up or take your child somewhere, you'll be advised by the nanny agency of any additional costs to cover petrol used. You will usually pay the nanny directly for the petrol costs, regardless of who payrolls.
